WHY IS MY SHILAJIT SOLID?
Our Shilajit is solid at room temperature because as it is 100% pure and we don’t want to sell you water! When harvested from the mountains, shilajit is in a tar-like, resinous form, but its natural consistency is quite thick and sticky due to the high concentration of organic compounds and minerals that it contains. At room temperature (around 20-25°C or 68-77°F), the organic compounds and mineral content in shilajit maintain a solid state due to their molecular structure. We recommend mixing a small amount of boiling water into your jar until the shilajit reaches your desired viscosity!
